Description
A savory, smothered chicken breast dish with honey mustard sauce, crispy beef bacon, melted Monterey Jack cheese, and earthy mushrooms. Perfect for a restaurant-style, smoky-sweet meal.
Ingredients
4 large chicken breasts, sliced horizontally into 8 thin cutlets
6 slices beef bacon
2 cups Monterey Jack cheese, freshly grated
1/3 cup mayonnaise, full-fat
1 Tbsp honey, raw
2 tsp stone-ground mustard
1 cup mushrooms, sliced
Instructions
Combine mayonnaise, honey, and mustard in a bowl; whisk until smooth. Reserve half for serving.
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken cutlets until golden browned on both sides.
Add cooked crispy beef bacon and sautéed mushrooms to the skillet; top each chicken cutlet with cheese.
Pour remaining honey mustard sauce over the chicken and cheese. Cover and simmer until cheese melts completely.
Ladle the cheesy topping over the chicken and serve with reserved sauce on the side.
Notes
Beef bacon is halal/pork-free; use turkey bacon as a substitute for halal/non-pork options.
Grate cheese fresh for optimal melting.
Let chicken rest for 2-3 minutes before serving to retain juices.
